OUTSIDE INTERESTS

Nico is a father to three children. He enjoys spending his free time at events on the kids’ ever-growing social calendars, and on vacation. He began coaching his oldest daughter’s soccer team when she was five years old, and looks forward to continue his coaching career with his two younger children. When at home during rare quiet times, Nico can often be found on the couch catching up on Dateline, 20/20 or 48 hours.

Nico is a lifelong Detroit sports fan, but lives and — all too often — dies with the Detroit Lions — having been a season ticket holder since childhood. He also avidly supports the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies basketball team, which fandom included traveling to Milwaukee to watch them play in the NCCA Tournament. In addition to regularly watching sports, Nico continues to enjoy skiing in the winter, playing indoor and outdoor soccer, routinely going to the gym, and participating in multiple adventure races.
